Regardless of your knowledge of programming, our product allows you to easily “import” your real estate listings into Wordpress. If you don’t know how to use Wordpress, we’ll provide mini-tutorials to cover many of its important features such as: writing a post, including your real estate listings in a post, and changing the order of links on your main page.

In our demo at http://www.wprealestatelistings.com/realestate/wordpress we have posts which include properties, properties after a search, and more.

After talking with countless real estate professionals, we learned that most real estate bloggers (at least the “beginners”) have a hard time deciding what to blog about. Most realtors understand the importance of creating a name and forging a relationship between themselves and their subscribers in order to express their opinions on different things, but what comes next?

What should a realtor blog about ?

Some realtors post information about a specific market in order to demonstrate local understanding and experience. For instance, a realtor might highlight different homes they have recently sold or neighborhoods of specialization. Real estate bloggers should always remember to provide valuable information that illustrates their expertise, without expressly marketing themselves. Helpful posts written by professionals go a long way in highlighting experience without coming out and directly saying it.

Realtors should also write about anything which distinguishes their accomplishments, highlights their skills, and demonstrates their knowledge. In order to distinguish themselves from other agents, realtors should post about local developments, real estate finance, and opinions on relevant market news.

By showcasing your expertise on a blog, you will receive more phone calls from highly qualified buyers and sellers, more referrals from other agents (who’ll grow to trust and know you through your writing), and possibly more local media attention. You have the knowledge, now is the time to share it and reap its reward.

Blogging is about building a presence on the web, advertising your business, creating an avenue of communication with your potential clients, improving visibility, building a sense of community, and offering useful information. For these reasons alone real estate agents should use a blog, but here are five more:

  1. Lead Generation - you might be surprised to find out how much Google and Yahoo like blogs. Because of their “fresh content,” blogs are quickly indexed. Just post interesting information which people want and you’ll see that blogs are a “low cost” way to get more leads.
  2. Demonstrate Your Knowledge - blogs allow you to express yourself easier, so you can talk about your opinions, thoughts and everything else you’re interested in. Blogging often in an area will build a name for yourself.
  3. Different Business - a blog will make your business different from your competitors. It will give you an advantage over communications with potential buyers. A blog gives a viewer an “insight” into who you are, expresses what you can you do to assist them, and establishes an easy method of contact.
  4. Relationship marketing - it’s all about building a relationship with your clients … blogs give you a direct contact with your clients, create a “sense of community,” and keep your client informed about developments in real-time.
  5. Direct Communications - most real estate sites have static content, which only allow you to search homes. What’s nice about a blog is that it allows you to speak directly and honestly with potential customers and prospects in an open way. Visitors can ask you questions and comment on your blog, allowing you to present yourself to them (a nice feature of our plugin is that it allows people to actually comment on your featured listings - sure, the comments are something you’ll occasionally have to monitor).

Our system allows you to create special pages/posts with a detailed page of your properties in seconds - you can allow comments so clients or potential clients can add posts on specific properties. Of course you can respond to these comments as well. This key feature allows you to advertise and market your properties more effectively. Our product allows you to take this concept of personalized marketing even further. For example, when a user searches, and the response includes a property that has its own custom page, then the user will be automatically directed to the custom page, allowing the user to see the different comments users have made.
